Private Roast

Same roast. Sooner, and not in public.

A roast night is free, public, and happens when the next one is booked. A private roast is one-to-one, and you can have it this week. This one is paid work — mine personally, not CPR Deck's.

Two ways to do this

Pick the one that fits.

Same criticism either way. The difference is who's in the room and how long you wait.

Free

Roast night

  • A room of builders, not just me.
  • Public — that's the point of it.
  • Whenever the next one is booked.

Paid

Private roast

  • One-to-one, just you and me.
  • Private. Nothing gets published.
  • This week, if I have the time.

How it works

Three steps, and the first one costs nothing.

You send the form

I read your product before we talk. No discovery call to schedule a discovery call.

We talk for 30 minutes, free

I tell you what I'd attack and whether I'm any use to you. If I'm not, I'll say so and we're done.

If it's worth continuing, we scope it

Price depends on what you actually need. No packages, no retainer, no minimum.

Honest filter

Who this is for, and who it isn't.

Reading the right-hand column and closing the tab is a perfectly good outcome.

Worth your money if

  • You're about to make a decision that's hard to reverse.
  • You have a product, or at least a real prototype, and some users.
  • You want someone to argue with you, not agree with you.

Don't bother if

  • You want someone to tell you it's good. Nobody here does that, free or paid.
  • You haven't built anything yet. Run it through the free Roast Lab first.
  • You want a strategy deck or an ongoing retainer. That's not what this is.

Tell me what you're stuck on.

The intro call is free. If I can't help, I'll tell you on that call rather than after you've paid.
