We don't roast people. We roast assumptions.
Builders deserve clarity, not applause. Here's where that idea came from, and where it's headed.
CPR Deck started with a familiar frustration: too many product pitches got applause, and too few got answers. Founders would demo something they'd spent months building, the room would nod politely, and everyone would go home no smarter than when they walked in.
We wanted a room that did the opposite, where feedback wasn't a compliment sandwich but clarity, on purpose. So we picked a name that describes exactly what we do. Pitch it. Roast it. Build it better.
The first roast night is still ahead of us: no scoreboard yet, on purpose. We'd rather get the format right than rush the tally.
Mission
Give builders the questions they're avoiding, not the compliments they're hoping for.
Vision
A city where every serious product gets roasted before it ships, not after it fails.
Why CPR Deck
We don't roast people.
We roast assumptions.
Product builders get compliments when what they need is clarity. This is the room that gives you the second thing, on purpose.
Honest feedback
over polite networking
Builders
over spectators
Practical clarity
over motivational speeches
Real products
over theoretical case studies
Diverse perspectives
in one room
The whole journey
not a one-night verdict
Right now, it's one person.
CPR Deck is founded and hosted by one person today. Roasters, hosts, and community leads join as the rooms grow — no invented masthead in the meantime.
Mahendra Vijay
Founder · Asks the first hard question
Started CPR Deck because too many pitches got applause when what they needed was answers.
Roasters wanted
Know products, ask sharp questions, and would rather be useful than nice? There's a seat at the table.
Join the DeckThe first roast night hasn't happened yet.
No milestones to show off yet, on purpose. Once real roast nights happen, this is where the track record goes.
Ready when you are
Come for feedback. Stay because someone questioned your entire roadmap.
Bring a pitch, a prototype, or a live product. Leave with a plan you actually believe in.
Or just lurk. We'll email you when the next roast is booked.
